About Me
Welcome! I’m Stacey, a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Illinois. I provide mental health services through several key frameworks, which are important perspectives shaping the therapeutic experience I provide. Those core frameworks include: antagonism-informed, humanistic, and holistic trauma informed care. Essentially, I acknowledge the unique pain and patterns of toxic and antagonistic dynamics within relationships that are often missed, honor your individual strengths and experiences, while supporting the mind, body, spirit connection.
I have over 15 years serving individuals, couples, and families. My undergraduate degree was obtained from Carthage College, studying Social Work and Spanish, and my Master’s of Social Work was completed at Loyola University Chicago, focusing on Children and Families, and Immigration. I have extensive professional experience supporting those navigating relational challenges in their present and past. Some of these professional experiences include: several years collectively spent studying and volunteering in Central America, over 100 hours of specific training regarding antagonistic personality styles, relationships, and behavior patterns, and training as a Certified Yoga Instructor, which informs my holistic approach towards wellness. I am a Social Worker by trade, and by heart. My professional roots were planted in community based work, locally and internationally. No one exists in a vacuum. Our identities and environments (family, culture, other systems) have a profound impact on us, both in how we engage with the world, and how the world engages with us. I acknowledge how systems can keep people stuck and/or reinforce harmful group and individual beliefs, values, and behaviors. I seek to guide you in reconnecting with your own power, light, and vibrant energy you have had within you all along. I weave in elements of Eastern philosophy, exploring what balance looks like for you. While I humbly admit to lack expertise in every nuance of all existing communities and these unique experiences, I honor all the ingredients that make up your story. Your story matters. Your experience matters. You matter.
I’ve also been touched by difficult relational dynamics in my personal life, learning challenging lessons, and am dedicated to my own ongoing growth and healing. I admire your courage in seeking support in a difficult season of your life.
I would be honored to explore if we could make a great team, and look forward to connecting.
